This heavily used park is located adjacent to the North entrance of the Dupont Circle Metro. The restoration of Triangle Park (a National Parks Service Park – NPS) is underway after several years of careful planning. Local realtor and Main Street volunteer Ingrid Suisman has diligently worked with the NPS, PEPCO and potential contracts to refurbish this park consistent with its 1920′s design. Restoration will include the installation of a new fence, benches, sidewalks, plants, trees and flowers. The design has the approval of the NPS and funding is in place to begin work in the Summer of 2012.
With the completion of this project (and the Connecticut Ave median), HDCMS is seeking volunteers to work with us to accomplish similar projects in our additional public parks, spaces and planting areas to continue our efforts to beautify and enhance Dupont Circle.
